Deadmau5 – Faxing Berlin

Deadmau5One of the most beautiful tracks of this summer “Faxing Berlin” came to us from Niagara Falls, Canada. Recently you can see the name of Deadmau5 in different “most downloaded” tops and in the mixes of many famous DJs.

Joel “Deadmau5” Zimmerman also known under the names Halcyon441 and BSOD, began his career in 1998 with the radio show “The Party Revolution”. In the fall of 2004, Joel was contracted by D1 Music to do a remix of a song “Pure” by Orgy which is included in their most current DVD entitled “Trans Global Spectacle“. Joel was asked to contribute some of his musical works to a compilation CD, “The Smirnoff Experience” which Smirnoff has distributed along with over 290,000 alcohol products in the fall of 2004.

And then he began to produce his own tracks. He released many singles under the name Deadmau5 such as “Sex, Lie, Audiotape,” This Noise “,” 1981 “,” Vanishing Point “, and a number of remixes of NuBreed, James Talk, Burufunk vs Carbon Community. And in the Internet you can find even his remix of Daft PunkHarder Better Stronger.”

Since 2004 he has been working closely with the Canadian singer Melleny Melody, better known as Mellefresh. Their joint project Mellefresh & Deadmau5 produced some interesting singles like “Afterhours“, “Whispers“, “Sex Slave“, “Cocktail Queen“. And recently, in 2007, they released two more singles, “Something Inside Me” and “Hey Baby.”

These singles have seen play by the likes of Pete Tong, John Acquaviva, Chris Lake, Sebastien Leger, Nic Fanciulli, Jody from Way Out West, Donald Glaude and many many more. And recently he worked in studio together with Chris Lake, so soon we can hear new amazing tracks from them.

But now, the best track of Deadmau5 is “Faxing Berlin“. Very beautiful, minimalistic melody, differs from his others works. First time I hear this melody in Pete Tong show “In New Music We Trust“, and then in the sets of many world famous DJs like Tiesto,Max Graham, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli and Desyn Masielo. This track will be released on August 1st, 2007 on new Joel Zimmerman label Mau5trap, with a new edit from Chris Lake.

You can download this track here, but here you can find an excellent mash-up of this track with FonzerelliMoonlight Party“. And as a bonus video you can see live version of “Afterhours” from Deadmau5 and sexy Mellefresh.
