For the first time I find out about The Golden Filter on the blog of Russian DJ Raketa and after first listening to song “Solid Gold” I immediately fall in love with it. And for the second time I heard this song on minimix of Belgian space disco masters Aeroplane. So I decided to look for information about this mysterious project and found only this post about The Golden Filter on their label Dummy.
Their first limited 7” single “Solid Gold” was released on February 11th with B side “Favourite Things“. A set of remixes by Russ Chimes, Mondkopf and Clouded Vision are available on Beatport & iTunes. You can also download them for free in MP3 form on site of label Dummy.
In YouTube you can find a lot of tracks from their lives such as “Favourite Things“, “Hide Me“, “Moonlight Fantasy“, “Imaginary Love“, “Ghosts“, “Fortune Teller“, “Dance Around The Fire” and “Stardust“, so they obviously have enough material to release full album. And some of this tracks you can hear on their MySpace.
The Golden Filter also created a bunch of remixes on such tracks as Little Boots “New In Town”, Cut Copy “Far Away”, Empire Of The Sun “We Are The People”, Peter Bjorn & John “Lay It Down” and Polly Scattergood “Please Don’t Touch”.
